Ask Paul
Useful answers, without a visitor database.
Ask Paul processes a question to answer it and to keep the service secure. It is not a sign-in service and is not designed to remember you between visits.
What Ask Paul receives
When you submit a question, it is sent to OpenAI to generate a response. The Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure may also process standard connection and technical information needed to deliver and protect the service.

What this application does not keep
The application does not store submitted questions, raw IP addresses, or a persistent user identifier. It does not build a profile of Ask Paul visitors.

D1 keeps only aggregate global hourly counters and 25-second technical leases. These support availability and abuse protection, not visitor tracking.

Purpose and basis
Answer the question. Protect the service.
The processing is used to generate a response and to prevent or investigate misuse. The legal basis is legitimate interests, balanced against your rights and freedoms. You can object to this processing as described below.
Recipients and retention
Specialist services, kept to the minimum.
The recipients are OpenAI, which provides the response service and Sites platform, and Cloudflare infrastructure used to deliver the site. These providers may process data outside the EEA; where required, those transfers rely on adequacy decisions or contractual safeguards.
This application uses store: false and does not retain questions after the response. OpenAI may retain abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days. Application D1 data is limited to aggregate hourly counters and short technical leases, with no visitor identifier.
